This quick art class is designed for the young learner who is a fan of My Neighbor Totoro. In this session, we will watch a few clips, discuss the differences between the three Totoros, and execute an art project. The students will create anywhere between three to five different Totoros. Students will be encouraged to have their Totoro's interact with different items (an umbrella, a Soot Sprite, a leaf, etc.). Students will leave the class confident that they can create their own Totoros for future drawings.
In class, we will discuss and view some clips from the film. Students are expected to have seen My Neighbor Totoro before attending class. We will not watch the full film in class.
This class will be presented via powerpoint and is art based. This is a LIVE class and is NOT pre-recorded. This is so the students can interact with the teacher and ask questions throughout the lecture.
